Skin Cancer / Mohs Reconstruction
Living in sunny Southern California leaves some of us exposed to UV radiation from the sun. Dr. Moshrefi performs both skin cancer excisions and reconstructions. Dr. Moshrefi also collaborates with your dermatologist and/or Mohs surgeon address your skin cancer needs.
Lymphedema Surgery
Lymphedema is a condition where the lymphatic channels in our body that carry extra fluid back to our heart get backed up. The most common cause in the United States is from lymph node resection due to cancer. Multi-disciplinary treatment is critical including medical therapy, lymphatic massage / physical therapy, and surgical treatment when appropriate. Dr. Moshrefi is amongst the few providers in the country that are able to surgically treat lymphedema. Surgical treatment options include lymphedema liposuction, lymphaticovenous bypass (LVA or LVB), and vascularized lymph node transfers (VLNT).
Lipedema Surgery
An emerging understanding of the condition that was once that to be rare is now known as lipedema. This condition involves an accumulation of excess fat, typically in the lower half of the body. Dr. Moshrefi offers surgical treatments including lipedema liposuction and surgical excision amongst other modalities.
Migraine / Headache Surgery
A subset of migraine / headaches experienced by people is due to nerve compression in areas in the back of the head and neck, forehead and brows, and other areas of the scalp. Dr. Moshrefi performs surgical release of these entrapped nerves to help alleviate headaches and pains that chronically trouble patients who are often misdiagnosed.
Hand Surgery
Dr. Moshrefi offers a broad spectrum of surgical and non-surgical treatments of the hand for patients. From aches and pains to carpal tunnel syndrome and fractures, Dr. Moshrefi is well-versed in treating your concerns.
